A Lawsuit Could PRODUCE E-Cig Ban in UK
Brief description: An e-cigarette is an electrical device which simulates standard tobacco cigarettes. It usually includes a coil, an atomizer, and a cover such as a tank or cartridge. Rather than tobacco, the user smokes nicotine vapor from a battery or electric device. Therefore, utilizing an e-cigarette instead of smoking tobacco is frequently known as “vaping.” More commonly, it’s often simply called “e-smoking.”
Explanations why more young adults are trying this new method are numerous. Some come to mind about potential addiction to tobacco. Because the prevalence of e-cigarettes has increased, so gets the amount of tobacco users. Many young adults who have not been smokers for very long are suddenly discovering just how addictive nicotine can be. With all the current proof how tobacco use damages a person’s health, it is no wonder that they are looking for a substitute.
Additionally, e-cigarette companies claim their goods are less harmful than cigarettes because they do not contain any addictive nicotine. This may be true in a few ways but there is no doubt that e-cigarette aerosols contain far bigger concentrations of harmful chemical compounds than do cigarette aerosols. A written report released by the Strategy for Tobacco Control and Promotion, indicates that aerosol particles are around three times greater in proportions than those found in cigarette smoke. This is particularly troubling because the majority of chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases will be the result of smoking regularly. The risk of having these diseases is more compounded when young adults try to quit.
Furthermore, e Cigarettes do not cause the same degree of harm to the smoker as regular cigarettes do. E-Cigarette users usually do not experience as much increased blood circulation pressure or heart rate as one who smokes cigarettes. In addition they do not experience just as much throat irritation and mouth discomfort as those that regularly smoke cigarettes. However, there are specific drawbacks to e-Cigarettes, among which is that an individual who is trying to give up smoking may find it difficult to avoid using e-Cigarettes because of the dependency in it. Withdrawal from an e-cigarette results in cravings and need to smoke the product once again.
Evaluators of e-cigs declare that the simplest way to assess e-Cigarettes is to consider the effects on the lungs. Due to lack of tar or nicotine present in the aerosol, there is absolutely no reason to believe that e-Cigarette users are at risk of cancer. Instead, the risks which are associated with long-term contact with the toxic chemical resveratrol, that is found in red wine, are increasingly being evaluated. Resveratrol has been proven to prevent cancer in laboratory animals.
There are two major opposing schools of thought when it comes to evaluating the potential health advantages of E-Cigarettes versus cigarette smoking: those that are pro-eCigarette and those that are anti-eCigarette. Proponents of e-cigs declare they are safer than cigarettes given that they do not contain any Puff Bar Flavors toxins. They also claim that electric cigarettes have less of a potential for addiction than traditional cigarettes. There are also those who say that the existing research shows that e-cigs do not help smokers stop.
In September of this past year, there was a study released about the effects of e Cigarette use on high school students. The study was done by experts at the University of Illinois’ College of Medicine. Based on the study, higher e Cigarette work with was associated with increased threat of mouth, throat and nose cancers. Those who smoked weren’t at increased risk. The study also indicated that longterm e Cigarette use can cause lung disease, cardiovascular disease along with other health problems.
In September of last year, there is another study released about the risks of a Cigarette use. This time, the study was carried out by the Institute of General public Health in London. The study indicates that young children may be at higher risk than teenagers or adults with regards to the harmful ramifications of E-Cig smoking. Also, young adults and teens may be at more risk than adults if they don’t realize the potential risks of E-Cig tobacco use.
